I used to give blood regularly for years and years. My children’s schools had blood drives every few months and I would donate after dropping them off in the morning. It is such a nice way to give back to the community. I must admit that it’s been a few years since I last gave blood, but after learning about World Blood Donor Day I was inspired to start again. Plus the date is one I’ll definitely remember—June 14 is also my birthday!
