I’ve been donating blood almost continuously since I was 20 and am now 51. Last year I received my 10-gallon pin. I have a rare blood type and have been called on many times by the local Red Cross to donate because of an emergency situation. My most memorable donation was for a baby fighting for life. I love that I am strong and healthy and able to give to help others. I just hope and pray that every able person sees the need to donate and help others. Life isn’t about getting all you can get. Reach out and help someone in need. It doesn’t cost a thing to donate blood.
