I am a regular donor. For awhile I kept getting turned away because my iron was too low. After being turned away 5 times in a row, I decided to take someone’s advice and eat high iron foods 1-2 days before planning to give blood. Try making a trail mix with nuts, raisins and dark chocolate m&m’s.
