When I turned 16, I was allowed to give blood. So, I was curious to see how my first experience would go. Everything turned out well and they told me that I would get my blood donor card in a few weeks with my blood type on it. When I got my card, I found out that I am O-, the universal donor. I knew that this meant that whenever I donate, I’d be helping not only my own type, but also almost every other type too! Now whenever there’s a blood drive, I make sure to sign up. The Red Cross makes sure of it too, by calling me to tell me how important my blood is
It always makes me feel special.
