I was in a severe car wreck. My son was driving and somebody ran us off the road. They never even stopped. We hit trees head-on on my side. My airbag did not deploy. I was declared dead at the scene. Lifesaver came for my daughter and got my heart started again. My right arm and my right leg had bones sticking out in many places. It was so bad, they just wrapped me up in gauze. They said at that point I was not strong enough to make it through surgery. I was given several units of blood throughout my whole ordeal. Fifteen surgeries later, here I am. I cannot walk well. I must use a cane and be very careful. My right hand does not work either. I still have a few more surgeries to go, but thank God for each person included in saving my life! Blood donors especially!
