My daughter was born almost sixteen weeks preamature and had a very hard start at life. She had to recieve multiple blood transfusions to live and, due to her condition, the blood had to be even more screened than normal. She also had a rare blood type. Had it not been for an outporing of donations from family, friends and co-workers, my little girl would not be here today.

I always knew it was imporant to give blood, but I never truely realized how important and that we all could need blood one day and should give as often as possibble. My daughter is now a happy, thriving, healthy seven-year-old thanks to people giving blood.
